Applications

Polyethylene wax is white, translucent solid with a waxy feel at room temperature and it is an integral part of manufacturing used in a wide array of industries. It comes in several different forms with slightly different properties (viscosity, density and melting point) which make each type of wax more suitable for a particular application. Polyethylene waxes are used in the manufacture of PVC and plastics, packaging, paints and primers, thermoplastics industry, polishes and lubricants to name a few. Polyethylene wax is available in pallet, powder, or flake forms in sizes ranging from 500g containers to 50kg batches. Integrated Chemical Specialties, a division of Integrated Traffic Systems USA provides several different varieties of polyethylene wax for use in a wide array of industries.

OnWax® PE 600200P

OnWax® PE 600200P is a white, translucent solid polyethylene wax in pastille form at room temperature. Its unique combination of properties such as low density, high melting point and low melt viscosity make it suitable for application in a wide array of industries such as the manufacture of paints and coatings, primers,thermoplastics, PVC and plastics, packaging, polishes, lubricants and more.

OnWax® Oxidized PE Wax OPE 316
CAS No. 68441-17-8

OnWax® Oxidized PE Wax OPE 316 is a type of polyethylene wax that has been treated with oxygen and a catalyst to make it hydrophilic and therefore it is a great additive for water-based inks and paints. The oxidation of high density polyethylene wax (HDPE) allows formulators to incorporate the beneficial properties of hydrophobic HDPE into aqueous systems.

OnWax® Oxidized PE Wax OPE EC 916
CAS No. 68441-17-8

OnWax® Oxidized PE Wax OPE EC 916 and OnWax® Oxidized PE Wax OPE EC 916A waxes have a unique combination of high melting point, hardness and lower melt viscosity; characteristics which are suited for use where modification of viscosity and softening point is required. Additionally, OnWax® Oxidized PE Wax OPE EC 916 also provides heat resistance in hot melt adhesives.

OnWax® PE EC617
CAS No. 9002-88-4

OnWax® PE EC617 is a low-density polyethylene wax (LDPE) that has a high viscosity and flexibility and is translucent to opaque. It is a synthetic polymer that softens to a liquid when heated and hardens when cooled. When compared to HDPE,LDPE is less rigid and generally less chemically resistant. LDPE Wax has characteristics best suited for use in the following applications.

OnWax® PE 600200LV is a low-density polyethylene wax (LDPE) that is made up of low molecular weight ethylene monomer chains. It is best suited for application in pigment dispersion media as a pigment concentrate additive to enhance aesthetic and physical properties of ink and print systems. It is also used as an additive in plastics and rubber processing and manufacturing.

OnWax® FT29 Fischer-Tropsch Wax
CAS No. 8002-74-2

OnWax® FT29 Fischer-Tropsch Wax is a synthetic wax produced by the polymerization of carbon monoxide with hydrogen by the Fischer-Tropsch process. FT wax can be used to modify and increase color yield, and it has good dispersing properties.
