Blends and mixtures of chemicals such as catalysts, surfactants, de-oilers and emulsifiers are critical to the upstream processing of oil and natural gas where these blends help boost productivity. As reserves become harder to extract, the oil and gas industry requires specialty chemicals and chemical blends to help recover the reserves.
Integrated Chemical Specialties, a division of ITS USA provides a line of signature blends under the brand ITCO ChemBlend™, for use during upstream, midstream and downstream processes in crude oil and natural gas production.

ITCO ChemBlend™ - GRADE I Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate is an inorganic alkali compound in the form of white crystalline salts. It is soluble in water and lightly soluble in ethanol.
It is available for industrial use in anhydrous form and as monohydrate (LiOH H2O).
Lithium Hydroxide is used as a base catalyst; a carbon dioxide scrubbing agent as is readily binds to CO2; breathing gas purification system for anywhere air is recycled (submarines and spaceships for example).
It is also used in ceramics and cement formulations, as well as to control corrosion by alkalizing reactor coolant in pressurized water reactors.
Integrated Chemical Specialties, a division of Integrated Traffic Systems USA provides three grades of Lithium Hydroxide for industry use:
• Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate, Grade I
• Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate, Grade II

ITCO ChemBlend™ - AMPS 2-Acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid is a white granuler substance. It is a copolymer of 2-acrylamido-2methyl propane sulfonate and acrylamide and it is designed specifically for high-temperature and high-salinity water-based mud applications.
Due to its highly reactive hydrophilic properties and stability at high temperatures AMPS use has expanded into other industries such as water treatment to inhibit scale formation, and construction where it is used to improve strength and durability of concrete.
AMPS is also used as a fluid loss control additive for high salinity and high temperature filtration of water-based muds.
In addition, it can be used as a scale inhibitor, friction reducer, in polymer flooding applications and it inhibits precipitation of mineral salts.
Integrated Chemical Specialties, a division of Integrated Traffic Systems USA, provides AMPS for use in industry and for the applications listed here.
Industry | Application |
---|---|
Oil, Gas and Petrochemical | AMPS Inhibits fluid loss in high-temp, high-salinity drilling operations; scale inhibitors; friction reducers; water control polymers |
Water Treatment | Inhibit mineral scale and buildup in cooling towers and boilers, as well as help with corrosion control; they can also be used to precipitate solids in industrial waste water |
Cosmetics | Used in lotion and skin lubricant formulations |
Cleaning Janitorial | Additive to enhance performance of detergents and surfactants |
Coatings | Additive to improve thermal and mechanical properties, and to reduce amount of surfactants leaching out of paint and film |
